To the R.W.D.M Club and all concerned,
With reference to the video footage that was recorded after the match by a parent and published on social media, which features footage of the referee of the Inter Brussels U8A vs. R.W.D.M. Girls U8 match, we would like to categorically and unequivocally disassociate ourselves from his words and views conveyed in this video. We are surprised by this situation no more than anyone else. We condemn this kind of behaviour and at the same time, we are extremely sorry that it concerned the referee who refereed our matches. This person is not an employee of our club. The cooperation with him was based on voluntary work.
Inter Brussels was founded on the idea of an international club, open to all children regardless of background or religion. From the very beginning, we nurtured this idea, hence the name chosen for the club, not by chance. Children from more than 40 different countries, from almost every continent and of every skin colour train at our club. We are proud of this and this has always been our idea – not to condone any racist, discriminatory or exclusionary behaviour.
The person who worked with us as a referee, in his contact with us or with the coaches, did not manifest the above motives as stated in the video. We were also never aware of anything about his unacceptable views from our perspective. Otherwise, we would never have allowed him to work with our club. At the time of writing this email to you, we have already had a conversation with the judge in question, in which we automatically severed all contact and cooperation with him while condemning his views.
Please accept our sincere apologies, we are extremely ashamed that something like this happened on our pitches. It should not have happened. We will see to it in the future and will do our utmost to ensure that, in future agreements with those who would work with the club, we check carefully whether something similar could happen again.
We also give ourselves fully as a Club to cooperate in resolving any further possible actions in the way of the R.W.D.M. and Referee from the match between Inter Brussels U8A and R.W.D.M. Girls U8 of 15.10.2023.

En référence à la vidéo enregistrée après le match par un parent et publiée sur les médias sociaux, qui montre des images de l’arbitre du match Inter Brussels U8A vs. R.W.D.M. Girls U8, nous aimerions nous dissocier catégoriquement et sans équivoque de ses paroles et de ses points de vue véhiculés dans cette vidéo. Nous sommes surpris par cette situation, pas plus que n’importe qui d’autre. Nous condamnons ce type de comportement et, en même temps, nous sommes extrêmement désolés qu’il concerne l’arbitre qui a arbitré nos matches. Cette personne n’est pas un employé de notre club. La collaboration avec lui était basée sur le volontariat.
L’Inter Bruxelles a été fondé dans l’idée d’un club international, ouvert à tous les enfants sans distinction d’origine ou de religion. Nous avons nourri cette idée dès le début, d’où le nom choisi pour le club, qui n’est pas le fruit du hasard. Des enfants de plus de 40 pays différents, de presque tous les continents et de toutes les couleurs de peau s’entraînent dans notre club. Nous en sommes fiers et cela a toujours été notre idée : ne tolérer aucun comportement raciste, discriminatoire ou d’exclusion.
La personne qui a travaillé avec nous en tant qu’arbitre, dans ses contacts avec nous ou avec les entraîneurs, n’a pas manifesté les motifs mentionnés dans la vidéo. Nous n’avons jamais eu connaissance de ses opinions inacceptables de notre point de vue. Dans le cas contraire, nous ne l’aurions jamais autorisé à travailler avec notre club. Au moment où nous vous écrivons ce courriel, nous avons déjà eu une conversation avec le juge en question, au cours de laquelle nous avons automatiquement rompu tout contact et toute coopération avec lui, tout en condamnant ses opinions.
Veuillez accepter nos sincères excuses, nous avons extrêmement honte qu’une telle chose se soit produite sur nos terrains. Cela n’aurait pas dû se produire. Nous y veillerons à l’avenir et ferons tout ce qui est en notre pouvoir pour nous assurer que, dans les accords futurs avec ceux qui travailleront avec le club, nous vérifions soigneusement si quelque chose de semblable pourrait se reproduire.Nous nous engageons également, en tant que club, à collaborer pleinement à la résolution de toute autre action éventuelle à l’encontre du R.W.D.M. et de l’arbitre du match entre l’Inter Bruxelles U8A et le R.W.D.M. Girls U8 du 15.10.2023.

Aan de R.W.D.M. Club en alle betrokkenen,
Naar aanleiding van de videobeelden die na de wedstrijd door een ouder werden opgenomen en op sociale media werden gepubliceerd, waarop beelden te zien zijn van de scheidsrechter van de wedstrijd Inter Brussels U8A vs. R.W.D.M. Girls U8, willen we ons categorisch en ondubbelzinnig distantiëren van zijn woorden en standpunten die in deze video worden weergegeven. Wij zijn net zo verrast door deze situatie als ieder ander. We veroordelen dit soort gedrag en tegelijkertijd betreuren we het ten zeerste dat het de scheidsrechter betrof die onze wedstrijden scheidsrechter was. Deze persoon is geen werknemer van onze club. De samenwerking met hem was gebaseerd op vrijwilligerswerk.
Inter Brussels werd opgericht met het idee van een internationale club, open voor alle kinderen, ongeacht hun achtergrond of religie. We hebben dit idee vanaf het begin gekoesterd, vandaar dat de naam voor de club niet toevallig is gekozen. Kinderen uit meer dan 40 verschillende landen, van bijna elk continent en van elke huidskleur trainen bij onze club. We zijn hier trots op en dit is altijd ons idee geweest – geen racistisch, discriminerend of uitsluitingsgedrag door de vingers zien.
De persoon die bij ons werkte als scheidsrechter, in zijn contact met ons of met de coaches, vertoonde niet de bovenstaande motieven zoals vermeld in de video. We hebben ook nooit iets gemerkt van zijn onacceptabele standpunten vanuit ons perspectief. Anders hadden we hem nooit bij onze club laten werken. Op het moment dat we deze e-mail aan u schrijven, hebben we al een gesprek gehad met de rechter in kwestie, waarin we automatisch alle contact en samenwerking met hem hebben verbroken en zijn standpunten hebben veroordeeld.
Accepteer alstublieft onze oprechte excuses, we schamen ons enorm dat zoiets op onze velden is gebeurd. Het had niet mogen gebeuren. We zullen er in de toekomst op toezien en ons uiterste best doen om ervoor te zorgen dat we in toekomstige overeenkomsten met degenen die met de club zouden samenwerken, zorgvuldig nagaan of iets dergelijks opnieuw zou kunnen gebeuren.
We geven ons ook volledig als Club om mee te werken aan het oplossen van verdere mogelijke acties in de weg van de R.W.D.M. en scheidsrechter van de wedstrijd tussen Inter Brussels U8A en R.W.D.M. Girls U8 van 15.10.2023.
